Caitlin Starr

Caitlin Starr is post-punk’s next chapter. The 24-year-old NYC native, artist and lead guitarist returned from UC Berkeley to chase her musical dreams in Brooklyn’s indie scene. She’s spent the last three years uploading demos to Soundcloud, touring the country as bassist for the punk band Shred Flintstone and making her name performing in just about every NYC rock club imaginable with her band.

As an artist, Caitlin is a freewheeler who defies pigeonholing. Her music is both thoughtful and fierce: she writes with emotional depth and shreds like a rockstar. Her sound channels Belly, the Breeders, Nirvana and other 90s grunge era influences with a distinctly fresh perspective.

Caitlin Starr has arrived with her first official release, Hold on Tight - a five track EP that is heavy, melodic, and rich. It delivers the dramatic killer riffs that define her aesthetic and ushers in a new wave of post-punk that borrows from the rock n’ roll of the past and combines it with unmistakable modernity.

Newly signed to G-Foil Records, Caitlin is already working on a followup to Hold on Tight and is planning a national tour in 2025. She embodies punk’s DIY spirit: uncompromising, authentic, and ready to make noise on her own terms.
